FAQ with Eric
The Rescue Project and the Alpha Course might feel the same to run: they both include a meal shared together, video, and discussion. However, the two programs vary in content and intended audience. I would say that the Rescue Project is uniquely engaging and welcoming for "cradle Catholics" that would connect with being led by a Catholic priest, and recognize Catholic language. The Catholic character of the Rescue Project makes it a great program to run for the people in your pews who have been raised in the faith, but are living out a version of Catholicism that does not have discipleship at the centre.
The message the Rescue Project shares is the gospel of Jesus. He is universal and can capture the heart of anyone. However, if you are searching for a program for people that are in the earliest stages of exploring Christianity, I would use the Alpha Course, and then The Rescue Project.
If you want to run The Rescue Project in a way that can truly transform your people, consider coaching, Companion, and accompaniment. First, I am available to connect with you and your team to provide one-on-one coaching. Then, I would highly encourage using The Rescue Project Companion, as it provides you with the resources necessary to get started. The Companion frees you from some of the administrative labour, so that way you and your team can focus on the most important element: accompaniment. If your parish has the capacity to accompany people through The Rescue Project, you're going to see transformation.
Testimonials

Archbishop Michael Miller, RCAV

“Every Catholic can benefit from participating in The Rescue Project. Fr Riccardo presents the Gospel in a way that invites all of us to consider the Good News in a fresh and compelling way. The initial proclamation of the Gospel is indispensable if parish life is to be renewed and move forward. We have already seen the fruit of the Rescue Project in fostering the faith in our Archdiocese.”
